Every year, teams of four participate in a skills competition at either the BLS or ALS level. Communication, teamwork, and medical knowledge and application are tested at three stations: teamwork, medical, and trauma. The tasks this year included extricating someone at the end of tunnel made of chairs and blankets with out talking, treating the victim of a chemical explosion, and treating the victim of carbon monoxide poisoning.
