Ok folks, here’s the deal:
We’re having our annual EMS barbecue on Friday, May 8th, 5-7p on Pembroke Field (rain location: UHS lobby). We’ll have food, the EMT-of-the-year presentation, KED and spineboarding races, a giant and crazy award ceremony, and lots of other shenanigans.
Come join the fun! Say goodbye to your friends, your partners, and the graduating seniors!
I don’t know if we registered this with the SAO, so make sure to contain your beverages in the proper non alcoholic containers hint hint.

As a result of swine flu hysteria being escalated to a fever pitch by the media, students have begun arriving at UHS for check ups, and more importantly, facemasks. In order to protect yourself, crew, ambulance, stretcher, etc. from exposure, we suggest greeting them at the door fully prepared. Remember how to don and doff your level C personal protective suit with PAPR? Better get practicing!! We will be posting the DHS AWR-160 WMD Awareness course presentation and handbook in the training section soon for your perusal.
UPDATE: Well, it seems this post is taking a turn for the serious side of things: after the jump, an email from the RI Dept. of Health regarding PPE use.
